## Users with iPhones on iOS 8 or later, please look for GPSLogbook version 8

* GPSLogbook has a world-wide average
* rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars!

Track your GPS location while youre on the go, while the app stays in the background. While the recording is running, use your device for calls, browsing, ...
You can export your loggings later by mail, FTP, iTunes, or to Dropbox, as KML, KMZ, GPX, or CSV files or view them on the device.
NO internet connection is necessary for logging (nice when you travel abroad - data roaming is very expensive!).
Use the build in compass rose or use any of your logged waypoints for initiating a route planning (using iPhones Maps app).
OPTIONALLY you can send your current position to a server of your choice or GPSLogbooks web service. So your friends can follow you online. Its a great feature! Server pings of course need an internet connection. Same goes for the "Where Am I" request, which shows the address of your current location.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Background processes require at least an iPhone 3GS and iOS4.
Turn off your screen to preserve battery life.
Please keep in mind, GPSLogbook uses the iPhone GPS module, so the app is only as accurate as it gets GPS data. So please try to get best sky sight.
Privacy Issues - no data will be transferred to our servers as long as you dont use the GPSLogbook web service.
Do not use this app actively while driving!
